Since Arnie has stopped working he has found his days emptier, partly from not having his work mates to meet up with but also forgetting to go to activities and appointments
. He bought a computer but found that he was totally confused with all the different programs. After a few one-to-one sessions he now starts each day by 'booting' his computer and checking his only calendar which is linked to his email and chat list. All this is accessed from his 'home' page which also contains information important to him, such as the weather and news, and information about his hobbies. By using the computer he is starting to fill up his days but, more importantly, he is keeping up with his old friends and making new ones online.

An office manager with rheumatoid arthritis and wishes support in the workplace and at home to set up working areas to maximise joint protection. Through education into the affects of using certain equipment she is able to change the way she works and uses equipment, specifically the stapler. Having reluctantly believed that she should leave work, she now believes that this is unnecessary.
